On Thursday, July 25th, Modern Fuel with support from Canadian Heritage and the Canada Council for the Arts, presents the latest installment in its Vapours series of experimental music. Vapours is a regular concert series hosted by Modern Fuel that provides an alternative space for exploratory musical performances and promotes emerging experimental musicians both locally and nationally.

When: July 25th. Doors open at 8:30, Show starts at 9pm.

Where: Modern Fuel Artist Run Centre.  21 Queen St., Kingston ON.

Admission: $8, or $6 if a Member of Modern Fuel. 

The performers include Adam Saikaley (Ottawa, ON), Gary Franks (Ottawa, ON) and Chris Trimmer (Kingston, ON). 

Adam Saikaley is a musician, composer, broadcaster and DJ. He writes music for solo piano and music for no input mixers, speaker cones. He's a member of Silkken Laumann, The Acorn, and one half of a live analog techno duo with Gary Franks. He studied piano performance, classical music and sound design at Carleton University.

Chris Trimmer is a radio producer, crisis worker & experimental musician based in Kingston, Ontario. Following four years of graduate research and publication in Music Psychology he dropped out to pursue the same field within radio. Since then he's produced Cognitive Dissonance - a documentary-style, sound art-infused radio program focusing on the psychological and cultural aspects of music. He's worked at CFRC-FM as the Spoken Word programming manager and has been recognized by the National Campus/Community Radio Association (NCRA) for his documentaries & creative production.

Gary Franks is a musician from from Ottawa. He also plays in the steamy noise rock band Roberta Bondar.
