Modern Fuel Artist-Run Centre, in association with Apple Crisp Arts, is proud to present Friday Night Flux, a variety revue headlined by The Cedar Tavern Singers AKA The Phonoréalistes, the conceptual art-ernative folk rock duo of Mary-Ann McTrowe and Daniel Wong (Lethbridge, AB).

Modern Fuel presents the latest installment in its Vapours series of experimental music, a concert featuring esther b. (Montreal, QC) and The House is Black (Kingston, ON) on Saturday, February 20th, at 8pm.

For Modern Fuel Artist-Run Centre, performance artist Julie Andrée T. will be exploring the possibility of using the body as a canvas, to create a moving drawing suggesting a changing landscape. Without a stable point of reference, the performer oscillates between being a body with an identity and a body-object.

On Friday, August 28, 2009 at 7pm, in Room 202 of the Policy Studies Building, Queen’s University (138 Union St.) Chancellor Minnie St-Laurent and Rector Mikiki present a performative lecture announcing important mandate changes at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Now to become a university dedicated solely to the study of transvestism, The New Queens’ U. proposes a curriculum like no other in existence. Honouring the legacy of Queen's U. as a leading academic institution in Canada, The New Queens’ U.

For 'Sadderday Night,' clock din Sound System returns after a two-year hiatus to accompany the sonic sculpture of Anders Oinonen and Mike Murphy in an exhibition of the same name at Modern Fuel Artist-Run Centre. This exploration of the 'din of disappointment' takes the form of an immersive environment in the main gallery at Modern Fuel on June 20th, 2009.

Hosted by Modern Fuel Artist-Run Centre, award-winning video artist Nelson Henricks will give an electric and entertaining presentation on his remarkable body of work that explores, to great communicative and emotional effect, the infinite permutations of sound and image.

On Saturday September 15th after the opening and ceremonies for our current show State Greetings, join us at the NGB Studios (12 Cataraqui St.) for the 24hr installation Tidal Mass where Modern Fuel will be showing films during the early hours of the event.

Tidal Mass is both an installation and an event. On September the 15th at 8pm the third floor of the N.G.B. studios at # 12 Cataraqui Street, Kingston, will be taken over by artists and musicians for a 24-hour event.
