High Octane Summer Residency 2012

Modern Fuel Artist-Run Centre is currently accepting applications for its High Octane Production Residency .

The camera equipment (production) residency runs from July 10th to the 17th, 2012. It includes complete use of the New Media Workspace’s video, audio and lighting equipment with the goal of creating a short video work of less than fifteen minutes. The successful applicant will also have access to the New Media Workspace’s editing resources for the week following the Production Residency (July 18th-24th, 2012). At the end of the residency, the finished product will be presented in joint screenings organized by the AKA Gallery in Saskatoon and Modern Fuel Artist-Run Centre in Kingston. The successful resident applicant will be notified by July 6th, 2012.

The finished work will screen at Square Pegs 5 in Kingston on August 15th and at the East/West Screening in Saskatoon in September.

CARFAC fees will be paid for both screenings (http://www.carfac.ca/).

Please submit your proposal as well as an example of your work, an artist’s statement and a CV on or before June 29th, 2012. Applications must be received by 5:00pm on the 29th. For general submissions guidelines and restrictions please visit our website (www.modernfuel.org).
