Call for Submissions

Modern Fuel Show and Sale

This festive fundraising event will feature a two part show and sale with two ways to participate:

PART A. “WHAT IS MODERN?”

You are invited to donate a dynamic 12” x 12” artwork relating to the theme What Is Modern? for our new silent auction to be held in Modern Fuel’s window gallery starting on November 20, 2016. The works can be in any medium, but as they will be mounted in a grid on the wall, they must be 12” x 12” works formatted for wall display. Open to members and friends of Modern Fuel, donated works can be dropped off during gallery hours, between 12 and 5 p.m. from November 15-19. Submissions have now closed. Bidding has begun: www.biddingowl.com/modernfuelarc

This is a new fundraising initiative by the Modern Fuel Fundraising Committee and all silent auction proceeds from the sale of donated works will help to support Modern Fuel’s exhibitions, events and operations, keeping our public programs affordable for everyone.

PART B. “MODERN FEST”

* Deadline extended * You are welcome to submit works via email until 5pm on November 28.

Modern Fuel members are invited to submit art works in a variety of media and sizes to Modern Fuel’s annual members’ show and sale in the Main Gallery. The 2016 show and sale is called “Modern Fest” and artists receive 50% of the sale of their work (or have the choice to donate the the entire proceeds to Modern Fuel). Submit up to 3 digital images of artworks by Nov 28 to be juried by the Fundraising Committee to submissionsmodernfuel@gmail.com

Selected works for “Modern Fest” may be dropped off between November 29 and December 1 between 12 and 5 p.m. This is a revamped fundraising initiative by the Modern Fuel Fundraising Committee and will also feature festive celebrations with food, drink and live music. Additional event information coming soon.
