Congratulations to Kelsey Haynes (first prize), Amber Davis (second prize) and Nicole Li (third prize) who were judged by the Kingston Photographer's Guild based on best use of repetition, variety, texture or unity. Please come show your support and check out their work at our V.I.P. reception Saturday May 5 6:15pm with awards being presented at 6:30pm.

  • Modern Fuel Welcomes New Media Workspace Coordinator!

    Modern Fuel is pleased to welcome Maayke Schurer as our New Media Workspace Coordinator (NMWC). As our New Media Workspace Coordinator, Maayke will be responsible for the development of Modern Fuel’s digital equipment, archives and computer systems. In so doing, she will ultimately attempt to provide Kingston’s community organizations with resources and support by producing advanced video production and post-production services.

  • QUEEN'S STUDENTS! - WINTER INTERNSHIP AT MODERN FUEL

    Modern Fuel offers a half credit student internship each semester in collaboration with Queens University for students in Art History, Fine Art (ARTH 395) and Film Studies (FILM 395). Internships provide a focused opportunity for students to experience multiple facets of the nonprofit contemporary arts environment and offer a practical environment in which students can undertake research, curatorial and administrative activities. Students are required to write a report about their experience and are evaluated jointly by the employer and a faculty member from their department.
