About Modern Fuel

Welcome Genevieve Flavelle, our new Operations Director!

We are pleased to welcome Genevieve Flavelle as our new Operations Director!

Modern Fuel Is Moving!

After years of planning and months of sorting and packing, Modern Fuel has relocated to the Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning. At this point we're unpacking and getting the galleries ready for relaunch on January 17th.  This is an exciting time for Modern Fuel. We are eager to welcome our membership, artists and the community at large to our new space and the first exhibitions: Jennifer Dorner and David Poolman's The Old View From Nowhere, and Nancy Douglas’ Murphys in Griffintown.

Fall/Winter Programming

Modern Fuel is pleased to announce the Fall/Winter Programming schedule. Due to the shift in move-in date, our regular scheduled programming has been postponed. Instead, we bring you a series of events that take advantage of the delay: one night performances, a second iteration of Your Own Grad School, an exhibition to accompany Tone Deaf 13. More information can be found below (also available in a downloadable PDF).

Step to the Tett

Join the Programming Committee!

Modern Fuel is now accepting applications for the Programming Committee from our members who have an interest in participating in the selection of upcoming programming. The Programming Committee will consist of the Artistic Director, three Modern Fuel Board Members and one General Member in Good Standing. The position will be for a one-year term which cannot be consecutive. As a member of the Programming Committee, the selected applicant will participate in the decision making for the following programming season at Modern Fuel.
