  • High Octane Production Residency Strikes Twice

    Modern Fuel Artist-Run Centre is currently accepting applications for a High Octane Production Residency running from July 19-26, 2011. The residency includes complete use of the New Media Workspace’s video, audio and lighting equipment with the goal of creating a short video work of less than fifteen minutes. The successful applicant will also have access to the New Media Workspace’s editing resources for the week following the Production Residency (July 27-August 2, 2011).

    Fueling up for Square Pegs IV

    Modern Fuel Artist-Run Centre is currently accepting submissions of video works for Square Pegs IV, a screening of short videos by local, national and international artists to be shown in Kingston, Ontario’s Market Square on Wednesday, August 17th, 2011. Please submit your short videos (max. 15 minutes in length) as an attachment via e-mail to modernfuel@bellnet.ca as well as an artist’s statement and a CV. NTSC DVD and MiniDV submissions will also be accepted.

    Modern Fuel's Annual General Meeting for the 2010-2011 fiscal year will be held at the Gallery on Sunday June 19th at 2pm. The AGM will be a brief, one hour meeting so we hope all our members come out.

    Note: This position is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Culture Summer Experience Program. The position is only open to students currently enrolled in secondary or post-secondary institutions or within six months of graduation, who have reached the minimum age of 15 years and not yet reached the age of 25 years on the first day of employment.

    As the New Media Workspace Coordinator (NMWC) for Modern Fuel, the selected applicant will work 30 hours per week for 13 weeks from May 31 to the end of August 2011.
