  • Call for Submissions: Membership Spotlight

    We are currently accepting submissions for our Membership Spotlight, where we will be profiling one artist per month on our Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms. Our goal is to learn more about artists active in our region, while giving members the chance to spread the word about their practice. 

  • Purview Rescheduled!

    NOTE WEATHER ALERT!

    Purview with Joan Scaglione and Taylor Norris will now be on Thursday, February 18 at 7 pm.

    We have decided that since they are forecasting heavy snow and unsafe driving conditions for tomorrow - Tuesday, February 16 - it would be best to reschedule the talk to Thursday, February 18, at 7pm.

  • Call for Submissions

     

    Applications to exhibit in Modern Fuel's Main Gallery and State of Flux Project Room are due 1 February 2016

    Submissions from individuals and collectives are accepted on an on-going basis, and proposals are reviewed by Modern Fuel’s programming committee soon after our annual deadline of Feb 1st.  Modern Fuel pays artist fees in accordance with the CARFAC guidelines.

  • OAC Exhibition Assistance Applications Due January 15, 2016

    Modern Fuel Artist-Run Centre is a Recommender for the Ontario Arts Council (OAC) Exhibition Assistance Awards. We have two deadlines a year and the first is fast approaching: January 15th, 2016.

  • Call for Participants: Your Own Grad School (Year 3)

    From August 22 to October 3 2015, Modern Fuel will be hosting the third iteration of Your Own Grad School. We are currently seeking local artists and members of Modern Fuel who would like to become involved in this year's activities: reading groups, public critiques and presentations.  Your Own Grad School will be held in the State of Flux Gallery.
