    Modern Fuel is seeking submissions for our Annual Members’ Show and Sale. This year's exhibition is called This Winter Light and will be held from November 15 to December 13 at Modern Fuel, with the Opening Reception on Saturday, November 15, from 7-9pm.
     
    Deadline: November 1, 5pm.

  • Fall/Winter Programming

    Modern Fuel is pleased to announce the Fall/Winter Programming schedule. Due to the shift in move-in date, our regular scheduled programming has been postponed. Instead, we bring you a series of events that take advantage of the delay: one night performances, a second iteration of Your Own Grad School, an exhibition to accompany Tone Deaf 13.   • Aesthetic Alchemy: Screening, Talk and Workshop with Yam Lau

    Modern Fuel Artist-Run Centre is pleased to present Yam Lau (Hong Kong/Toronto) on Friday, August 8 and Saturday, August 9 for Aesthetic Alchemy, Modern Fuel's series of media artists' talks for 2014–15. This event is comprised of three elements over two days: a talk and screening on Friday, August 8 (7PM) and a workshop on Saturday, August 9 (7PM). All events are at Modern Fuel-Artist Run Centre.

  • Square Pegs VII: Call for Submissions

    MODERN FUEL ARTIST-RUN CENTRE is now accepting film and video submissions for Square Pegs VII: Public Film and Video in Market SquareSquare Pegs is an annual outdoor free-to-attend screening of experimental video art from Canadian artists organized and curated by Modern Fuel. Now in its seventh year, this year's screening will take place on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 in Downtown Kingston's Market Square.

  • Call for Submissions: High Octane Video Production Residency 2014

    MODERN FUEL ARTIST-RUN CENTRE is now accepting applications for the 2014 High Octane Video Production Residency. 

    The residency lasts for 11 days and, new this year, is available for two individuals to produce video artworks that will be screened during Square Pegs VII, a free-to-attend annual screening of local and national short video works to be held in Market Square on August 13, 2014.

  • UNIBROW: Under the Skin + A Trip to the Moon

    Join us at The Screening Room Wednesday, June 11 at 9 PM for a special screening of the much-discussed new film Under the Skin, complete with Steam Whistle beer and pre-show entertainment: George Méliès' 1902 film A Trip to the Moon with a surprise soundtrack!
