Square Pegs VI: Call for Submissions

Square Pegs is an annual outdoor free-to-attend screening of experimental video art from Canadian artists organized and curated by Modern Fuel, a not-for-profit artist-run centre in Kingston, Ontario. This year will be our sixth screening and we plan on making it the best yet. Our vision is to showcase a piece of experimental video art from each province and territory for a total of thirteen pieces. We hope to offer a brief snapshot of Canadian contemporary art and a glimpse into the ever-growing and evolving Canadian identity. We believe this exposition will promote discussion about what constitutes Canadian art and how our personal, cultural, provincial, and ultimately national identity influences the work we create.
