"Healing Power Records, founded in 2008, still feels like Toronto's best kept secret." Aubrey Jax described in her article 5 reasons to have Healing Power Records on your radar. "Label owners Wolfgang Nessel and Victoria Cheong are so chill that Healing Power and their spaced our blogspot page can be easy to overlook in a city with a thriving, multi-faceted, internet savvy DIY label scene, but because the two are actually working overtime putting out tapes, LPs, CDs and digital releases for some of Toronto's most groundbreaking up and coming artists — plus promoting gigs, making art, and playing in their own band — you might already be a fan and not know it."

BIOS:

Mas Aya is Brandon Valdivia (Not The Wind Not The Flag, Picastro, etc.) “The ur-global rhythms played by Valdivia on gaita, likembe, kalimba, mbira and a whole bucket-load of percussion instruments are run through reverbs, delays and distortions creating a Fourth World haze and Konono murk.” - Brandon Hocura

IC/JC/VC  is Isla Craig, Jennifer Castle & Victoria Cheong. They make beautiful sounds together.

Raissa Simone's hypnotic spoken word/audio collages fuses black power nostalgia, drone music, and whatever shit is making her anxious right now.

Vapours is a regular concert series hosted by Modern Fuel that provides an alternative space for exploratory musical performances and promotes emerging experimental musicians both locally and nationally.
