Call For Video Submissions

This summer, Modern Fuel Artist-Run Centre plans to screen a series of short video works in a public space in Kingston, Ontario. This is an open call. Please submit your short videos (up to a maximum length of 15 minutes) on NTSC DVD or MiniDV, along with an artist’s statement and CV. Modern Fuel is an equal opportunity video projector. Applications and proposals will be accepted until June 20th, 2008.

The curatorial premise for this group exhibition is to reflect the wide-ranging practices of artists in the region and to provide a forum in which to compare artistic modalities from one year to the next. Modern Fuel Artist-Run Centre invites artists to submit works produced in visual and time-based disciplines: painting, sculpture, printmaking, video, installation, sound, etc..

Annual Call for Submissions

We are currently seeking submissions for 2008-09 exhibitions of innovative, contemporary artwork in any visual media. Emerging artists are welcome. Artist fees are paid. Art Auction call for submissions

Modern Fuel's 2007 Art Auction Committee invites you to donate your high-quality artwork to the 2007 Auction. All proceeds go directly to Modern Fuel's operating costs ensuring the continued presentation, interpretation, and production of contemporary art in downtown Kingston.

Danse Macabre International Horror Film Festival

The New Media Workspach is looking for proposals for short films to be produced as part of a production initiative in collaboration with the Danse Macabre International Horror Film Festival.

Selected proposals will be awarded use of available equipment and the Final Cut Pro editing suite at the New Media Workspace. Finished films will be screened at the Danse Macabre International Horror Film Festival on October 31, 2007

Proposals must fit in at least one of the following genres:
- Horror, Supernatural
- Sci-Fi, Fantasy
- Animation
- Action, Thriller, Suspense
